The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course provides guided training and hands-on practice regarding conventional defibrillation, cardioversion, transcutaneous pacing devices, advanced airway management, qualitative and quantitative end-tidal CO2 measurement devices, esophageal detector devices, tracheal tube holders, recognition of cardiac arrest rhythms, ECG signs, intravenous access and administration of medications.

Course Length: 4.5 hours (Renewal)

ACLS Challenge

The ACLS Challenge Course is for individuals who have a current certification in ACLS. This fast rate course is intended to freshen up your skills and serves as a renewal for your ACLS certification. Before you choose to take this course we highly recommend that you review the curent ACLS manual. Successful completion of this course will require a passing score in both the skills test (which includes, but not limited to the successful demonstration of Adult CPR and AED, and Megacode testing) and the written examination (as score of 84% or higher on the first attempt is required).

Please note that there is no remediation for this course. Participants must come prepared and thos who do not successfully complete the course will be asked to attend a retrain course. Participants who score less than 84%  on the written examination at the beginning of the course will not be allowed to continue the challenge course and will be asked to attend a retrain course. Only one challenge per person is permitted.
